In 2009, during a trip with friends through Turkey, Syria, and Jordan, I realized how important travel is to me. I will never forget meeting very pure and compassionate people when I got lost near the oasis of Palmyra. This event had a significant impact on my life and led me to reconsider my career in the banking industry.
We decided to quit our jobs and start our own travel company because we wanted to share our knowledge about our country with travelers and help them create unique and unforgettable memories.
For the past 12 years, I have traveled all over Greece in my free time.
I aim to discover Greece's hidden gems and offer travelers the same excitement I felt back then.
I see every traveler as a unique individual seeking a once-in-a-lifetime journey, and I always strive to design authentic itineraries tailored to their passions and interests.

My passion emerged when I was young, leading me on a journey of exploration across continents.
Volunteer travel opened doors to diverse cultures, allowing me to travel across Europe and foster connections with people worldwide.
After a career in various hotels in Greece and Cyprus, I discovered my true calling: designing travel experiences.
My mission is to provide unforgettable experiences to those visiting Greece.
I pay attention to detail and use my extensive knowledge of Greece's hidden treasures to understand each traveler's unique needs and provide a journey full of discovery and joy. Traveling extensively across Greece and spending two years in Mykonos have honed my expertise in this enchanting destination.
Yet, every visit leaves a lasting impression of Crete's warm hospitality, delicious cuisine, and stunning landscapes.

What kind of country is Greece?

When thinking of Greece, many envision breathtaking views of bright blue skies and pristine white buildings.

Moreover, the ancient Greek civilization, which flourished in antiquity, is said to be the cradle of Western civilization. The ease of access from the capital, Athens, to numerous historically significant sites, including the Parthenon, is also appealing. For a resort experience, the islands in the Aegean and Ionian Seas, such as Santorini, offer beaches and lively resorts.
Gourmet delights, including olives and delicious wines, are also abundant!

With the Mediterranean's mild climate, you can enjoy historical exploration, resorts, and gourmet experiences, allowing you to relax away from Japan and indulge in what you love and desire!

Cash, cards and currency exchange
Currency exchange can be easily done both in Japan and locally. Locally, you can exchange money at banks, exchange offices, some post offices, travel agencies, and hotels, but many places charge a fee. Some places offer good rates and no fees, so it's a good idea to check in advance.
Additionally, there are ATMs available 24 hours a day, and you can withdraw Euro bills using credit cards or international cash cards, so it's recommended to use them. If you're worried about currency exchange, it's reassuring to exchange money in Japan beforehand.
In Greece, credit cards can be used in most places, but there may be instances where they are not accepted at small hotels, local diners, or souvenir shops. Therefore, it is recommended to use a combination of cash and credit cards locally.
Tips
Tipping is not customary, but you may give a tip as a gesture of gratitude when you receive pleasant service.
Restaurants: Even if the service charge is included in the bill, it is common to leave about 5-10% of the bill.
Taxis: About 5-10% of the fare.
Hotel porters or room service: About 1 Euro.
Public Safety
Greece was considered a relatively safe country in Europe, but due to worsening economic conditions and rising unemployment rates, there is a tendency for frequent demonstrations and strikes.
Especially in urban subways and tourist areas, pickpocketing incidents are frequent, and Japanese tourists or those carrying large amounts of cash are often seen as having low vigilance, making them easy targets for crime.
To avoid becoming a target of crime, travel with only essential luggage, keep valuables close to you, do not leave your bag unattended, and avoid distractions while walking.
Clothing
Clothing varies greatly depending on the season.
In summer, temperatures can exceed 30°C, so Japanese summer clothes like short-sleeved shirts and shorts or sleeveless dresses are suitable. The sunlight is also very strong, so sunglasses and hats are useful. Additionally, it can feel chilly in the shade or during mornings and evenings, so bring a light cardigan.
In winter, it doesn't get as extremely cold as in Japan, but temperatures do drop compared to summer. Cold weather protection is essential, so adjust with layered clothing like sweaters, and prepare a thick outerwear.
In spring and autumn, long-sleeved shirts and long pants are appropriate. It gets chilly in the mornings and evenings, so having a jacket is reassuring.
Things you should bring with you
Stomach medicine, cold medicine, mobile battery, camera, insect repellent items, sun protection items, etc.
Visa availability and arrangements
Japanese nationals do not need to obtain a visa for stays of up to 90 days within any 180-day period for tourism, business, diplomatic, or official purposes.
However, it is required that the passport was issued within the last 10 years and has more than 3 months of validity remaining from the date of departure from Schengen Agreement member countries.
Required vaccinations
There are no mandatory requirements for travel. However, vaccinations for hepatitis A, hepatitis B, tetanus, and diphtheria are recommended.
