Born in America, having lived in various places around the world, I have been living in Spain for 12 years. I started a travel company to offer trips that allow you to enjoy more of the 'local feel' in Spain.
I love offering trips that gather highlights from Spain, Portugal, Morocco, and Italy, as well as trips to hidden special places. I hope you enjoy discovering places that you can find for the first time by visiting there.
Traveling not just to spend time on the beach, but to explore a country for a certain period requires a lot of planning. We all lead busy lives, and within a limited schedule, we want to manage our budget well and consider various options to ultimately make the trip a day where we can achieve what we want to do. We are passionate about ensuring that your trip can fully achieve 'what you want to do'.

What kind of country is Spain?

"The country of passion," Spain. Located on the Iberian Peninsula, bordered by the Bay of Biscay to the north and the Mediterranean Sea to the south, it is a wonderful country rich in diverse geography and culture.

Spain, with a history spanning over 10,000 years since prehistoric times, features historical structures like the Alcázar Castle, known as the Snow White Castle built in the 12th century, and intriguing architecture like Antoni Gaudí's modernist buildings. Additionally, there are many natural attractions such as the Ordesa and Monte Perdido National Park on the border with France.

There are many culturally renowned aspects such as bullfighting and flamenco, and culinary delights like the tapas culture, where small snacks and drinks are enjoyed at bars, similar to Japanese izakayas, offering experiences that can only be savored locally.

Since it is surprisingly vast, consult with local advisors to create a tailor-made trip just for you.

With renovations, it is now relatively safe for hiking. Walking along the cliffside path hundreds of meters above the ground and looking down from the viewpoints offers the thrill and romance once felt by workers, and you will be amazed by the power of nature and the human achievement of road construction.

Cash, cards and currency exchange
The currency of Spain is the Euro. Currency exchange is possible at airports and banks, but it often offers better rates if done in Japan. Credit cards can be used in restaurants and shops, and in recent years, they can be used for small amounts as well. However, having a small amount of cash is convenient.
Tips
In Spain, tipping is not a fundamental part of the culture, so there's no need to worry too much about it. In practice, at bars and restaurants, it's common to round up the bill or give a tip of about 5% as a gesture of gratitude. However, in the case of high-end restaurants, it's common to give a tip of around 10%.
It's not necessary at hotels or taxis either, but rounding up the fare in taxis is common.
Public Safety
Spain is considered a relatively safe country, but in tourist areas like Madrid and Barcelona, the frequency of pickpocketing and theft is not low, so caution is necessary. There are also scams targeting tourists, so it's advisable to be particularly careful when in urban areas.
Clothing
Spain has four seasons like Japan, so it's recommended to dress according to the season. In summer, light dresses or clothes that allow the breeze to pass through are recommended, but since it's sunny, having a light jacket or sunglasses will make your stay more comfortable. In autumn and spring, the weather changes daily rather than gradually like in Japan, so it's advisable to wear easily adjustable clothing. In winter, wearing a slightly lighter coat than in Japan is recommended.
Things you should bring with you
Multi-plug, regular medication, mobile battery, travel insurance, mobile SIM or WiFi
Visa availability and arrangements
Between Japan and Spain, a visa waiver agreement for 'short-term stays' has been concluded, and for short-term stays of up to 90 days for purposes such as tourism or visiting acquaintances, obtaining a visa is waived. Additionally, since Spain is a participant in the Schengen Agreement, for those eligible for the short-term stay visa waiver, the passport they must hold should have been issued within the last 10 years and have a validity period of at least three months beyond the planned departure date.
Required vaccinations
There are no mandatory requirements for travel.
