Safaris aren't the only attraction in Africa!
As the first independent country on the African continent, Ethiopia has a wealth of heritage to be proud of in all aspects of nature, culture, and history.
This is a plan to explore Ethiopia and experience a rich heritage and gain diverse experiences and values, such as Simien National Park, which is so high that it is called the "ceiling of Africa", the archaeological ruins of the Kingdom of Aksum, which flourished through trade before its origins, the unique architecture of the former capital Gondar, and the Church of Imrehane Christoph built by digging into a monolith.
"Points of the plan"
(1) World Natural Heritage and World Cultural Heritage
Along with Morocco, Ethiopia is the country with the most abundance of World Heritage sites in Africa.
In this plan, you will visit the Ethiopian World Natural Heritage Site "Simien National Park" and the World Cultural Heritage "Axum", "Gondar" and "Lalibela Churches".
You can experience the rich nature and deep culture of Ethiopia, and have a valuable experience that approaches the origin of humanity.
(2) Gelada baboons living in the mountains
Simien National Park is nicknamed the "Ceiling of Africa" because of its high mountains, including Mount Rasdashan, the highest peak in Ethiopia.
The unique environment created by uplift and erosion over hundreds of years has created a unique ecosystem, and is home to valuable endemic species such as Walia ibex and gelada baboons.
We will go to observe the gelada baboon, which is considered to be the last surviving among the endangered herbivorous primates.
(3) Unique Buildings
Unique buildings, such as the world's tallest monolithic stone pillar and a church carved into a huge rock in the shape of a cross, are interesting to compare and never get tired of even if they are the same cultural heritage.
