The Maya civilization, one of the most advanced indigenous civilizations in the Americas.
This civilization began around 1000 BC and continued until before the Spanish invasion in the 16th century, flourishing in a wide area from the Yucatán Peninsula in present-day Mexico to Belize, Guatemala, and Honduras.

Guatemala and Honduras, regions symbolizing the rich history and culture of the ancient Maya civilization, preserve important heritage that tells of the greatness and artistic and technological excellence of the Maya civilization.

The Copán Ruins in Honduras were a center of scholarship and art in the Maya civilization.
Particularly, the intricate sculptures and the hieroglyphic stairway are invaluable sources of information for the study of Maya hieroglyphs.

The Quiriguá Ruins in Guatemala are known for the height of their stelae and the intricacy of their carvings.
This site had a close relationship with Copán, with active trade and cultural exchange.

The Tikal Ruins in Guatemala are one of the largest urban ruins of the Maya civilization, boasting an overwhelming scale with massive temple complexes towering in the jungle. Temples 1 through 4, the Acropolis, and other structures functioned as political, religious, and commercial centers, symbolizing the peak of the Maya civilization.
On the Tikal sunrise tour, you can experience the mystical sunrise accompanied by the sounds of wildlife echoing through the jungle.

On this journey visiting three historically rich ruins, a Japanese guide will carefully support you throughout the itinerary, allowing you to enjoy sightseeing with peace of mind.

After spending eight years at a travel agency specializing in Japan’s hidden gems—where I honed my skills in planning, sales, and tour guiding—I became captivated by Guatemala after joining a tour for just one day, which prompted me to travel there on my own. I subsequently worked for ten years as a cultural and public relations officer at the Japanese Embassy in Guatemala. Having established a solid network in Guatemala and determined to share its allure with more people in Japan, I co-founded, in January 2004 with my husband Shingo Matsumoto, a travel agency approved by the government tourism bureau. With qualifications as a travel operations manager and as a guide certified by the Guatemalan Tourism Authority, I have been involved in the travel industry for over 30 years. I am thrilled to deliver the full splendor of Guatemala and Central America to you!
