Cold Chinese noodles in Tanzania?! A bungalow run by Japanese on Zanzibar Island

The Zanzibar Archipelago consists of over 50 islands floating in the Indian Ocean.
It has a grim history as a center of the black slave trade, but now it captivates many tourists as a sea paradise.
In the urban area of the main island, Unguja, there is a town where Arab and European cultures mix, the World Heritage site 'Stone Town'.
A short distance away, you will find stretches of white sandy beaches and a sparkling blue sea.
I heard there is a bungalow where you can enjoy delicious Japanese food on this island, so I came to Paje in the western part of Unguja Island.

Paradise Beach Bungalows

Stone Town is somewhat noisy, but Paje is a quiet rural town.
Paradise Beach Bungalows is located in front of a beach where the sea breeze feels pleasant.
The owner, Saori Miura, a Japanese person, welcomed us with a warm smile.

The welcome drink was barley tea!
The familiar taste put my mind at ease.

Each type of bungalow is decorated with African art and Zanzibar antiques, making them very stylish.

At the restaurant facing the sea, you can even enjoy Japanese cuisine!

The ultimate chill time

The beach in front of the bungalows stretches for several kilometers with white sand.
There are almost no tourists, and locals leisurely walk their dogs, fish, or enjoy fishing.

There are hammocks and benches, and you can order beer if you like.
Truly the ultimate chill time.
At night, a beautiful starry sky appears, and in the morning, a magnificent sunrise rises.

Relaxing on the beach is nice, but since you're here, being active is also a good option.
Ms. Miura offers various suggestions, such as henna tattoos and dancing with Maasai bodyguards.
You can also rent a bicycle, and as you ride along the beach, you'll find a restaurant floating in the sea!

The Rock restaurant is a floating restaurant in the sea, accessible by walking at low tide and by small boat at high tide,
where you can enjoy delicious seafood caught in Zanzibar.
