Everyone has seen a photo of Madagascar's Avenue of the Baobabs at least once.
These trees appear in famous travel media, textbooks, and even novels.
Though the Avenue of the Baobabs is far from Japan, only those who visit can truly feel the awe it inspires!
Baobab Tree of Life
The Avenue of the Baobabs is an 8-9 hour drive from the capital, Antananarivo. There are domestic flights to the nearby town of Morondava, but a road trip is recommended.
There are off-road paths, but the view from the car window offers vast nature and a nostalgic glimpse of Madagascar's lifestyle, providing a sense of peace.
After overcoming the long journey, the Avenue of the Baobabs appears!

Along the approximately 50-meter road, giant trees grow larger and more robust than imagined.
Seeing the world from the photos appear before my eyes felt somewhat surreal.
The baobabs, with their stout trunks over 10 meters in circumference and hand-like canopies, are said to have been planted upside down by God during creation, according to legend.

I didn't really believe in so-called power spots, but when I touched the baobab, I felt something for the first time.
Energy, healing, peace, gratitude... it's hard to put into words, but there was something that stayed with me.
As expected of the baobab, sometimes called the 'Tree of Life'.
Baobabs in Love

Near the Avenue of the Baobabs, there is also the 'Loving Baobabs'.
The name comes from two baobabs that grew intertwined, resembling people embracing each other.
My heart trembled at the unique form created by nature's power over hundreds of years.
Sunset on the Avenue of the Baobabs
We return to the Avenue of the Baobabs and wait for the sunset. With tourists visiting from all over the world, there were also small rest areas set up.
There are also unobtrusive souvenir shops.
As I relaxed with a baobab juice in hand, the sky gradually darkened.
The sun sets behind the baobabs.
At twilight, the orange and blue, along with the black shadows of the baobabs, harmonized beautifully, creating a picture-perfect contrast.

You can instantly forget the fatigue of travel and the daily nuisances.
As the sun set further, the sky turned purplish, and then it became a pitch-black night.

I've never seen such a color-changing scene in any other country.
The Avenue of the Baobabs offers thrilling opportunities from daytime to sunset and sunrise.
A truly mystical world unfolded!!
