The most desirable island to live on in the world! The Galapagos Islands

This time, I, an animal lover, will introduce the most desirable island to live in the world, the Galapagos Islands!
The Galapagos Islands consist of over 200 islands and islets, with the main islands being San Cristobal, Santa Cruz, and Isabela.
Travel between the islands takes about 3 hours by jet boat.
However, it shakes so much that you might feel like you're on a roller coaster, so it's reassuring to bring motion sickness medication.
There are about 7,000 species of animals on the islands, but today I'll share the animal encounter spots on the main three islands!

San Cristobal Island where you can befriend sea lions

On the sandy beach just a short walk from the port, Galapagos sea lions are lounging in the sun.
My travel companion is lying down among the sea lions, can you spot them?

There were also families of sea lions playing in the waves.
The sea lion pups want to play with humans, so they slap our feet with their flippers or give gentle nibbles.
It's somewhat painful, but they're so cute that you can't help but forgive them.

Speaking of Santa Cruz Island, it's the fish market!

Santa Cruz Island has a fish market where brown pelicans, sea lions, and lava gulls gather to snatch scraps from the fish cleaned by fishermen.
I've never seen such a sight...

You can buy freshly caught fish from around 8:00 AM (closed on Sundays).
I wanted to eat sashimi and marinated rice bowl, so I brought soy sauce with me before entering the island.
You might also encounter rare characters like the frigatebird and the aptly named blue-footed booby.

Let's cycle on Isabela Island's 'Tortoise Road'!

Isabela Island is the most rural of the three islands.
Wi-Fi is almost non-existent, and there are few houses or supermarkets, making it sparse, but it's my favorite island.
This island has a road called Tortoise Road, which you can cycle on. Rent a bike near your accommodation and off you go!!!
Right away, a marine iguana greets you in the middle of the road. You can't tell which is the iguana.

And finally, you encounter the Galapagos tortoise, the namesake of this road!
"It's real...! You really exist...!"
Since elementary school, it was my dream to meet a Galapagos tortoise, and I couldn't believe the tortoise in front of me, it felt like seeing my favorite idol live for the first time.
In reality, it was an emotion that couldn't be expressed with such trivial words.

You can also meet many other wild animals.
Currently, various flora and fauna are being researched with global cooperation in the Galapagos Islands, and the ecosystem is being preserved.
You can learn about this at the Charles Darwin Research Station on Santa Cruz Island.
