Hola! (Hello in Spanish)
Everyone, haven't you ever wanted to meet an extinct creature at least once in your life?
Since I was little, there's been a big animal I've wanted to meet at least once.
That is... DINOSAURS!!!
So, I went to meet the dinosaurs in Bolivia!
Were there dinosaurs in Bolivia in the past?
After seeing the breathtaking view of the Uyuni Salt Flats, while gathering information on where to go next, A friend I made told me, 'There's a hidden place full of dinosaur fossils nearby, so you should go.'
As someone who loved dinosaurs so much that I got a dinosaur encyclopedia as a birthday present in elementary school, I immediately decided to go to the hidden land of 'Torotoro.'
Now, let's go on an adventure!
'Torotoro' means dinosaur in the local Quechua language.
The entire area where dinosaurs once lived has become a tourist destination as a national park.
There are dinosaur marks everywhere, like in parks and on benches in the city.
When you go for a walk with a local, you'll find dinosaur footprints everywhere!
Usually, when you see something like this, you only get to look at it over a museum fence, but here in Bolivia, you can touch them, walk on them, or even lie down next to them.
Apparently, it's an undeveloped area where archaeologists haven't done much work, so fossil protection isn't advanced,
but still, is it okay to have such luxury...!
Personally, I was thrilled by the oversized footprints of the long-necked dinosaurs and the footprints from when the ankylosaurs fought.
I wanted to walk in the same places dinosaurs did long ago, so I walked while stepping on the footprints.
I couldn't help but wish I could have lived in the same era as the dinosaurs.
At the same time, I strongly felt grateful to have come to this land where dinosaurs lived long ago.
Experience the great nature and history of the Earth
Also, I was left speechless by the vast, majestic nature as far as the eye could see.
It was so surreal that I felt like I had truly stepped into the world of Jurassic Park.
The colorful strata and the large canyons formed by erosion make you feel the great power of nature.
Because it's still a relatively unknown hidden spot, it's one of the few chances to get up close to dinosaur traces.
I think it's perfect for those who love adventures like Jurassic Park or Indiana Jones.
Be sure to go meet the dinosaurs!
Well then, ciao!
