Trout Tree Restaurant in Kenya where wildlife comes to visit

The restaurant is located in a town called Nanyuki, about 3 hours north of Nairobi, the capital of Kenya.
Because it is located directly on the equator, there is an equator monument and you can conduct Coriolis force experiments, making it a lively town that serves as a rest spot for tourists.

And on the outskirts of this town there is a restaurant where you can enjoy very good fish dishes and pleasant forest bathing.
That's Trout Tree Restaurant.

Treehouse-shaped restaurant

As the name suggests, Trout Tree Restaurant is a three-story treehouse-type restaurant built on a large fig tree.
When you enter, you will feel the warmth and excitement as if you have jumped into the world of Ghibli.

The seats are arranged around the trees, so you can see the rich forest scenery from any seat.
You can also see a number of round artificial ponds.
This pond is actually a trout farm that draws water from the river flowing from Mount Kenya, Kenya's highest peak.
The Trout Tree Restaurant serves fresh dishes made with trout grown in front of you.
In addition to being a rare place in Kenya where you can eat fresh fish, it was crowded with many tourists because it was a way to go on safari.

Sashimi and grilled fish

In addition to trout dishes, there is a wide variety of menus such as meat, pizza, and pasta, and I was a little lost when I came to eat trout.
However, after all, I want to eat grilled fish here.
Order the grilled fresh trout.

While waiting, soothed by the pleasantly blowing breeze and the sunlight filtering through the trees pouring into the restaurant, the sashimi arrives first.

The surface is chewy and elastic, and when you chew it well, the crunchy texture is proof of its freshness.
The flavor was robust, and it also had the distinctive and addictive taste unique to river fish, which was very surprising.
It is no different from the sashimi you eat in Japan.
The amount of food in Kenya was so large that it was difficult to eat it all, but I was able to get by with trout sashimi.

The grilled fresh trout was served just as we finished eating.
Chips and fish coming out together is a normal driving in Africa.

When I pinched the well-browned back with chopsticks, the white shiny flesh came out.

It is very soft, and the light meat and exquisite salt are unbearable, and the chopsticks go on and on.
The vegetable skewers for the garnish are also sweet and juicy.
I've had the opportunity to eat fish abroad before, but I've never wanted white rice as much as I did at this moment.
The taste of Japan in Kenya was exceptional.

There is a small playground equipment in the tree restaurant where you can play and take photogenic photos.
In addition, there are guest houses, souvenir shops, fish farm tours, and fishing spots surrounding the restaurant, so you can enjoy spending time before and after meals.
As I strolled around, I found a Hilux that moved around a little!
He said that he lived in this area, and he showed me various gestures.
It is said that a flock of Abyssinian colobus sometimes comes.

When traveling to Africa, you inevitably worry about the food aspect, but here in Kenya, you don't have to worry about it at all.
