Try Kenyan horse racing at Ngong Racecourse

The sight of a horse running gracefully is really cool, isn't it?
Kenya is famous for its rich wildlife and unique culture, but it also has a racetrack.
This time, I would like to introduce Ngong Racecourse located in Nairobi, the capital of Kenya.

Ngong Racecourse is the only racecourse in Kenya

About 20 minutes by car from the center of Nairobi, along Ngong Road, which is also known for the expansion work involving the Japanese government, is the Ngong Racecourse.
When we arrived at the racecourse, the first thing that surprised us was the lively atmosphere.
Approximately 25 races are held annually, and on race days, local stalls line up in a row.

You can enjoy a wide variety of international gourmet dishes all day long, including Kenya's BBQ style Nyama Choma, Italian cuisine, and German beer.
The racetrack is not just a place to watch the races, but also a place to have fun with friends and family.
There is also a place where children can play freely, so families can visit with peace of mind.

Horse racing prediction challenge

Now that you're at the racecourse, you want to participate in the race.
There are usually four horses in one race, so the odds are low, and even if you win, you will receive a small amount of money.
Therefore, it is attractive that you can easily participate.
I also obtained a paper with simple information about the race being held that day and the horses participating, and decided to give it a try.

However, there was a problem. The paper contained very little of the horse's condition, pedigree, or any other information needed for a normal horse race prediction.
After much deliberation, I decided to bet on the horse whose jockey provided fan service in the paddock.

A thrilling race

Finally, the race began.
After a strong start, the four horses galloped through the Nairobi wind.
Since Ngong Racecourse is small in scale, I was able to see the horses galloping right in front of me, and I was overwhelmed by their intensity.

In the end, the horse I bet on unfortunately couldn't win, but I was thrilled by the powerful running of the horses and their sense of speed.
It was also my first time seeing a Kenyan jockey, and I was very impressed by that fresh experience.

When you hear the word racetrack, some people might feel uneasy about gambling.
There is no suspicious atmosphere at Ngong Racecourse; rather, a bright, festival-like mood prevails.
Not only Kenyans but also foreign tourists and expatriates visit, bringing together many people of various nationalities and ages, creating a lively and harmonious atmosphere.
