  Meet with a Japanese guide in Geneva and head to the village of Chébre.

  Gather in front of the Montbrillant Hotel near Geneva (Genève) Station and head to the village of Chexbres by train with a Japanese guide.
  
  The train runs through vineyards on the way from Geneva to Chexbres.
  In Switzerland's major wine-producing region, the Lavaux area, the vineyard terraces of 14 municipalities, including Chexbres, are recognized for their scenic beauty, cultural, and historical value, and are registered as a World Heritage Site.
  
  The history of this region is said to date back to Roman times. The current form of the vineyards is believed to have been established around the 11th century when the area was controlled by monasteries. Despite changes in rulers, the tradition of grape growing and winemaking in small villages has been passed down unchanged for over 1000 years.
