Next, we head to Bahir Dar, where the beautiful Lake Tana stretches out.
Lake Tana is dotted with many monasteries, and by visiting them by boat, you can immerse yourself in a mystical world enveloped in tranquility.

Day 1
Addis Ababa
Arrival at Bole International Airport in Addis Ababa, the capital of Ethiopia.
Transfer to the hotel by private car.
Afterward, a city tour of Addis Ababa.
We will visit places such as the National Museum, which preserves the skeleton of Lucy (Australopithecus), markets, the Mariam Church on Mount Entoto surrounded by eucalyptus forests, and the Menelik Palace where successive emperors resided.

Day 2
Addis Ababa → Bahir Dar

From Bole International Airport, take a domestic flight to Bahir Dar in northern Ethiopia.
After arrival, proceed to explore Lake Tana, the largest lake in the country.
Take a boat cruise, go birdwatching, and visit a monastery with 700 years of history on the Zege Peninsula.

Day 3
Bahir Dar

Travel by private vehicle to the outskirts of Bahir Dar and hike to the Tis Issat Falls on the Blue Nile River. (2–3 hours, 4–5 km)
While viewing the waterfall from various angles, you will cross two bridges (one of which is a historic Portuguese bridge) and also cross the Blue Nile River by boat.
In the afternoon, head to the observatory where former Emperor Haile Selassie built his summer palace.

Day 4
Bahirdar → Gondar

By private vehicle to Gondar.
Gondar Castle, built in the 17th century, is registered as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
After touring the royal palace, which has five palaces, proceed to the Debre Berhan Selassie Church (Holy Trinity Church), whose interior is beautifully decorated with 17th-century religious paintings.
It is one of the most beautiful churches in Ethiopia.

Gondar → Simien National Park → Gondar

Head to Simien National Park by private vehicle for a day hike.

Gondar → Lalibela

Take a domestic flight from Gondar to Lalibela.

The 11 rock-hewn churches, built in the 12th century, are carved out of solid rock and are truly mystical.
There is even a legend that they were created by angels.

Langano → Abijatta-Shalla Lakes National Park → Langano
