Detailed itinerary

• Day 1

  

  Arriving in Quito, Ecuador

  [Departing from Narita - Arriving Quito]
  Normally, flights to Ecuador and Quito within the U.S. take 20 to 25 hours and arrive at midnight on the same day.
  After arriving at Quito International Airport, Japan staff will be waiting for you in front of the arrival gate with a sign board with your name.
  Hop aboard a private car and travel about 45 minutes to today's hotel in Quito city.

• Day 2

  

  Quito Old Town World Heritage Site + Equator Memorial Park Tour

  After breakfast at the hotel, the local staff will meet you and greet you.
  On the first day, you will be guided by a private vehicle on a Quito City Tour with a local guide and Japan interpreter to convey the best of the city.
  In the morning, take a leisurely stroll through Quito's Old Town, one of the first UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
  For lunch, we will eat Ecuadorian food.
  In the afternoon, we will take you to the Mitad del Mundo (Center of the World) Equatorial Memorial Park and the Museo Intiñan Equatorial Museum, which are a little further away from the city center.
  City tours are usually scheduled from 9am to 4pm.
  Dinner at the hotel.
  Stay at the Mercure Hotel in Quito or an equivalent class hotel

• Day 3

  

  Travel to Galapagos and stay on Santa Cruz Island.

  After breakfast at the hotel, the local staff will come to greet you and transfer you to the airport.
  To Baltra Airport in the Galapagos Islands via Guayaquil (approximately 30 minutes, no transfer required)
  We will move to Santa Cruz Island via bus and ferry.
  Upon arrival at Santa Cruz Island, hop aboard a private vehicle with your guide and set out to observe giant tortoises as they come to the highlands.
  After visiting the farm, travel to Puerto Ayora and check into your hotel.
  After checking in, you'll visit the Charles Darwin Institute with your guide.
  Dinner is not included.
  There are many restaurants in the city, so please feel free to spend your time. If you wish, our staff will recommend you to a restaurant.

• Day 4

  

  One day trip from Santa Cruz to another

  Breakfast at the hotel.
  After breakfast at the hotel, you will take a day trip on this day.
  Since the highlights change depending on the season and the day of the week, we selected three candidates.
  Choose your favorite tour from the island suggestions below.
  • North Seymour Island & Santa Cruz Island Bachas Beach
  ・Bartolome Island.
  ・South Plaza Island
  ・Santa Fe Island
  Day trips usually take place between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.
  After returning to the hotel from the day trip, you will have free time.
  At night, sea lions and pelicans gather on the pier to eat the small fish that gather in the light. Seeing these wild animals up close is also a unique pleasure in the Galapagos.
  Dinner is not included.

• Day 5

  

  Transfer from Santa Cruz Island to Isabela Island

  Breakfast is served at the hotel.
  Travel to Isabela Island in two hours by speedboat, which departs at 2pm.
  You will have free time until the speedboat departs.
  Arrive at Isabela Island just after 4pm.
  The hotel will stay at La Casa de Marita, a beachfront hotel located between the town and the port.

• Day 6

  

  Volcano Trekking and Sea Trekking

  Breakfast will be served at the hotel.
  Depart for the Sierra Negra volcano at 8 a.m.
  Sierra Negra Volcano is the second largest eruptive crater in the world, with an altitude of 1490 meters.
  It is a national park, and you can drive to the entrance.
  From there climb to the rim of the crater. (It's very hard.) You can also climb on horseback, but please contact us for details. ）
  Have a picnic lunch and walk through the lava desert.
  In the afternoon we will visit a tourist attraction in the bay called Tintorera.
  In this rock-lined area, you can get up close and personal with Galapagos penguins, blue-footed boobies, sea lions, marine iguanas and black-legged sharks.
  After the walk is over, we return to the hotel and have dinner.

• Day 7

  

  Sky Walk and Canopy in Monteverde

  We will travel from Isabela Island to Santa Cruz Island by speedboat at 6 AM.
  After landing, move from Santa Cruz Island to Baltra Island where the airport is located, and check in for the flight.
  We will travel by plane from the Galapagos to Quito. At the Quito airport, a local guide will greet you again, and together with the guide, you will take a half-day tour of the city of Quito.
  After having dinner, we return to the airport, check in for the flight to Narita, and depart from Ecuador.
