Introducing the palace hotel located in the desert area of Jaisalmer, India.
During the trip, I visited several palace hotels, but this hotel was the best! Personally, it's the number one hotel I want to stay at.
Just staying at this hotel makes visiting Jaisalmer worthwhile!
The desert palace hotel is amazing!
On this day, I visited a hotel called Suryagarh Jaisalmer. I had been interested in Indian palace hotels before the trip, so I contacted a local travel agency, and they arranged an appointment for me to tour this amazing hotel.
By the way, this is a type of hotel called a 'palace hotel,' but Suryagarh is not an actual palace (it wasn't inhabited by royalty in the past); it's a concept hotel designed to mimic a palace.
At the hotel entrance, there was a robust-looking Indian guard, creating an exciting atmosphere even before entering.
(I visited several palace hotels in India, but the entrance and guard at Suryagarh had the most atmosphere and were amazing. The sense of exclusivity was overwhelming, and I couldn't stop feeling excited even before entering.)
After passing through the beautifully maintained entrance and reception, there was a courtyard where everyone was having breakfast, perhaps because it was breakfast time.
My impression at that time was, 'Wow, it's amazing... It's like I've wandered into the world of Aladdin.'
At the back of the courtyard, there was a beautifully maintained garden with various types of vegetables and herbs planted, and they said the hotel's restaurant serves these organic ingredients.
Unfortunately, the hotel was fully booked that day, so I couldn't see the guest rooms, but I was able to tour several places like the pool, restaurant, and outdoor event space.
During dinner time, you can enjoy Indian dance performances in the event space while having your meal, so I would have loved to experience the evening atmosphere as well.
Everywhere was so luxurious and splendid that I thought, 'Wow, there's nothing but excitement wherever I look...' and I decided that I would definitely visit this hotel again someday.
It was such an amazing hotel that it made me think it would be worth visiting India just to stay here.
By the way, the Jaisalmer area is very hot from around April to mid-October, so it's not a highly recommended time to visit.
However, during this hot season, it seems you can stay in a cheaper room for about 30,000 to 40,000 yen per night.
Great deal!
Jaisalmer is an area that Japanese people don't often visit, but there are many interesting places like staying at this palace hotel and camel riding in the desert, so if you have time, it's a place you should definitely visit. (Personally, I found the desert in Jaisalmer more enjoyable than super famous tourist spots like the Taj Mahal or Jaipur.)
