What kind of country is Estonia?

Estonia is the northernmost of the three Baltic States, located on the eastern coast of the Baltic Sea.

The capital, Tallinn, features a charming medieval old town that looks like it came straight out of a storybook and is recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. At the same time, it is a city where you can experience cutting-edge technology as an IT powerhouse.
Estonia is home to a variety of unique cultures, offering experiences you can't find elsewhere. On Kihnu Island, which can only be visited during the three summer months, traditional lifestyles designated as UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage are preserved. You can still see the traditional red skirt 'kört,' a distinctive feature of their folk costumes. Additionally, the smoke sauna is another cultural hallmark unique to Estonia.

Despite being influenced by neighboring countries over the long course of history, the Baltic States have woven a history filled with beautiful nature and mutual respect among their people, creating stories that resonate deeply.
Be sure to experience the culture and history that are completely different from Japan.
With Oooh, a local coordinator will tailor a memorable trip based on the things you vaguely want to do.

    Experience

One of the ways many people enjoy enduring the harsh winter is through the smoke sauna. A smoke sauna is heated using smoke. Firewood is placed in a stove made of stones, and the large stones stacked on top of the stove are directly heated by the fire. At Mooska Farm, there are traditional smoke sauna facilities. By making a reservation in advance, visitors can enjoy cultural and historical explanations as well as Estonian cuisine.

Things to know about traveling to Estonia.

Cash, cards and currency exchange
The currency in Estonia is the Euro.
In general, credit cards such as VISA, MasterCard, and AMEX are widely accepted, so you don't need to carry much cash. Having around 100 Euros in small bills for tips or market shopping is reassuring.
It is recommended to exchange Japanese Yen to Euros before traveling.
Tips
In hotels and restaurants, service charges are usually included in the bill, so tipping is generally unnecessary.
If you receive particularly good service, it's a nice gesture to leave a small tip.
Public Safety
In Tallinn's old town, during the peak tourist season from June to August, crimes targeting tourists are more frequent, so caution is advised.
Clothing
Temperatures are generally about 5 degrees lower than Tokyo during the same period. Like Japan, Estonia has four seasons, but spring, summer, and autumn are short, and winter is long. The temperature fluctuates during seasonal transitions, so it's recommended to dress in layers for adjustment.
In summer, the weather can change quickly, so having rain gear is reassuring. It's also cooler than Japan, so having a jacket is recommended.
In winter, gloves, hats, and other warm clothing are essential.
Things You Should Bring
Multi-plug, essential medicines, portable battery, overseas travel insurance, rain gear, warm clothing
Visa availability and arrangements
For stays of up to 90 days for purposes such as tourism or visiting acquaintances, a visa is not required. Since Estonia is a member of the Schengen Agreement, the rule that applies to short-term stays not requiring a visa within the Schengen area is "no more than 90 days within any 180-day period."

Additionally, those eligible for visa exemption must have a passport with at least three months of validity remaining from the planned departure date and issued within the last 10 years.
Required vaccinations
・There are no mandatory requirements for travel.
