Speed of support

For my first solo overseas trip, they handled everything, including hotel and ticket reservations, as well as arranging taxis.

Basically, I just had to show what was sent to my smartphone to check in or enter facilities, which was very convenient and easy.

The entry times were well-timed, and I was able to enjoy the trip with a stress-free plan.

I remember feeling very excited when I saw the itinerary after they created a travel plan based on my requests.

I shared my phone number to help coordinate with the driver, but since I couldn't speak English, I panicked for a moment when I couldn't communicate over the phone! However, through Oooh's chat and their emergency Japanese support line, they responded quickly and reassured me, which was great.

Having multiple reliable options like LINE, shared phone numbers, and Oooh's chat made me feel secure and confident about the trip.

Additionally, having the guide accompany me at the start of the trip to explain the subway system, how to use it, and recommend shops was incredibly helpful for the rest of the journey!

I grew up between the French and Swiss Alps and have always loved the diverse landscapes of these beautiful countries.

After obtaining a master's degree in tourism, I worked as a bespoke travel planner in Sri Lanka and the Maldives and served as an event organizer for extreme sports competitions in Switzerland. Ultimately, two years ago, I settled in the Beaujolais region of France, sharing my expertise on France, Switzerland, and Germany.

I pride myself on having an excellent eye for accommodation, with a particular fondness for charming boutique hotels. I love discovering new destinations and experiences.

I promise to provide you with a perfectly customized trip and strive to ensure you enjoy a wonderful travel experience.

Based in Lyon, in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region of France, we are a local French travel company that assists in creating tailor-made trips, themed trips, unique trips, and memorable journeys.
Our Franco-Japanese staff, well-versed in the cultures of both Japan and France, will assist you with meticulous hospitality. During your trip (from entry to exit in France), we provide telephone support in Japanese.

France is not just Paris. There are many charming regions with distinct personalities such as Lyon, Strasbourg, Nice, Bordeaux, and Toulouse. Our philosophy is to create journeys that allow you to deeply enjoy the seasonal beauty, culture, traditions, nature, crafts, craftsmanship, and gastronomy of lesser-known regions of France. We also continuously question how we can contribute to 'sustainable tourism' and cherish a travel style that values the environment, natural heritage, and cultural heritage of local communities.

Various Things to Consider When Traveling to France.

Cash, cards and currency exchange
Currency exchange can be done relatively easily anywhere in Japan or at local tourist spots. It's recommended to check fees and exchange rates in advance.
ATMs are available, and you can withdraw Euro bills using credit cards or international cash cards, so it's recommended to use them. If you're worried about currency exchange, it's reassuring to do a minimum exchange in Japan beforehand.
If you bring in or take out more than 10,000 Euros or equivalent foreign currency, checks, traveler's checks, or bonds, you need to declare it.
Tips
Basically, tipping is not necessary in France. Service charges are included in the price.
On the other hand, in high-class restaurants like those with stars, it's common to leave a tip of about 10-15%. Also, regardless of the restaurant's level, if you feel you received very pleasant service, it's smart to leave a tip as a gesture.
In hotels, if you request arrangements or receive services like luggage handling, you leave a tip of about 1-2€.
Basically, if the service was good, it's natural to leave the change as a tip.
Public Safety
France is considered a relatively safe tourist destination globally. Tourist spots are always crowded, and it's generally safe for women to walk alone during the day.
On the other hand, theft crimes like pickpocketing and snatching targeting tourists do occur, so be cautious at airports, museums, and restaurants.
Basically, it's essential to take precautions against potential harm, such as keeping your passport in a secret waist pouch and distributing your money and credit cards.
For pickpocketing prevention, always hold your belongings in front of your body in crowded places, and avoid putting valuables in coat pockets or open bags. If you notice individuals or groups acting suspiciously, leave the area immediately, or if you're on public transport, get off and move to avoid becoming a victim.
Clothing
France, like Japan, has four distinct seasons, and the climate varies significantly. The temperature is generally a bit lower than in Japan in every season.
Spring is still quite chilly compared to Japan, so sweaters, cardigans, and sometimes coats are necessary.
The average summer temperature is around 25 degrees Celsius during the day and can drop below 20 degrees after sunset. Overall, the temperature is on the cooler side, so it's safer to bring a light jacket.
From around November, the cold becomes severe and continues until March. By November, there are already days below freezing, so down coats and scarves are essential for proper cold protection.
For safety, comfortable sneakers are recommended. Since it rarely snows even in winter, low-heeled boots are recommended if you prioritize warmth.

・From 2025, prior application for ETIAS will be required. ETIAS is an 'Electronic Travel Authorization' necessary for travel to Schengen Agreement member countries, including France. Applications are processed online and are only valid for travel for tourism or short-term business purposes within 90 days.

・There are no specific infectious diseases for which a vaccination certificate is required upon entry.
