Of course, this line is still in operation, so trains do pass (it's a single track), but tourists don't seem to mind, haha.
There are spaces along the bridge where you can take shelter when a train comes, so it's said to be safe if you stay there.
Taking shelter right next to a moving train is an experience you don't often get in Japan, right?
Incidentally, this Bridge on the River Kwai appeared in an old movie called 'The Bridge on the River Kwai' and is a well-known tourist spot.

Traveling on the Burma-Thailand Railway

In about 15 minutes, the Thai-Burma Railway train we were scheduled to board arrived. We hopped on just before departure.
Inside, it had a nostalgic and pleasant interior. There was no air conditioning, but when we opened the windows, a cool breeze came in, which felt very nice.
Along the way, many tourists were taking shelter by the tracks, and in such places, the train slowed down, so the passing time felt leisurely, and I relaxed while gazing out the window.

It took about an hour and a half to reach our destination, Tham Krasae Station. There wasn't much to do inside, but time flew by as I watched the scenery...
Sometimes it's nice to just gaze at the scenery without thinking about anything.

At Tham Krasae Station, it was thrilling to walk on the tracks running right next to a sheer cliff (Arl Hill Viaduct), and just exploring the caves by the tracks was fun.
The weather was nice, and the scenery was beautiful, so I had a pleasant time.

Here, our guide had reserved a restaurant right next to the station, so we enjoyed lunch while admiring the view.
We thanked the driver (with a private car) who had gone ahead to wait for us at Tham Krasae Station, and then departed for our next destination.

How you feel may vary from person to person, but personally, it was a relaxing moment in the journey.
