Introducing the unexpected tropical open-air bath in the Kanchanaburi region of Thailand.
If you're a Japanese person who loves baths, why not visit a tropical open-air bath at least once?

The open-air bath discovered by Japanese soldiers, 'Hindad Hot Spring'

※Unfortunately, it was raining at the time of filming (upon arrival), but it soon stopped.

Located in Kanchanaburi, Thailand, 'Hindad Hot Spring ( Hin Dat Hot Spring )' is said to have been discovered by Japanese soldiers during the war.
It's surprising to see the initiative of hot spring-loving Japanese people, discovering hot springs even overseas.
By the way, this place is located quite deep in the mountains? So I think you need a car to get there.

In my case, I had a private car during the trip, so I was able to visit with peace of mind.

This hot spring has a somewhat unique structure.
As you can see in the photos, the hot spring bubbles up right next to the river, and you can enter not only the hot spring but also the river.
There was a relaxed vibe with locals and what seemed like tourists, making it quite lively.

This is a public place, so of course, swimwear is required.
First, change in the dressing room located at the back (the dressing room was private and had a lock).

The floor is basically wet everywhere, so I thought having a pair of flip-flops would be convenient.

When I was about to enter the hot spring, a local lady started saying something. I didn't quite understand, but I thought it was probably 'wash your body first,' so I entered the river first. By the way, the water temperature was about as cool as a lukewarm bath in a Japanese public bath.

Entering the hot spring again! It was deeper than I expected, reaching about chest level when standing normally. The temperature was just right at around 42 degrees, and bathing in the midst of nature was exceptional.
After warming up in the hot spring, I cooled down in the river and then returned to the hot spring, repeating this process and relaxing for about an hour.
Initially, I planned to stay for only about 30 minutes, but it was unexpectedly comfortable, so I ended up extending my stay and soaking longer.

If you're a Japanese person who loves hot springs, wouldn't you want to visit a tropical open-air bath at least once?
Personally, it was a super satisfying bath!
