An incredibly satisfying safari experience! A comfortable journey with some valuable insights
I was extremely satisfied with this itinerary. During the safari, I had the rare opportunity to see many wild animals up close, including the Big Five, which was an incredibly valuable experience. Thomas, the guide from Predator Safari Club, skillfully guided us to the best spots for viewing animals, and the daily schedule proceeded almost as planned. Additionally, he made the journey enjoyable by handing out handwritten lyrics to the African song 'JAMBO SONG' while we were in the vehicle.
Regarding the game drives, the bumpy roads were quite taxing, and being in the vehicle from morning until evening was physically demanding. However, this is unavoidable on a safari, and I felt that the guide did their best to drive safely.
The hotels and lodges we stayed at were all spacious, clean, and very comfortable. While one lodge had slightly weak water pressure in the shower, it was not to the extent that it caused any inconvenience, and I was able to enjoy my stay without any issues.
The meals, including dinners and breakfasts at the lodges, were delicious and satisfying. Although the safari lunch boxes contained a lot of chicken, which became a bit repetitive, the experience of eating lunch under the shade of trees in the nature park, coupled with the great weather, made for a very pleasant time.
Regarding the schedule for my return flight, I confirmed it several times before departure. Since my flight was at 17:20, I requested to arrive at the airport by 14:20. However, when I checked with the guide the day before my return, they suggested that arriving at 15:00 would be fine due to other tour participants having later flights. As this differed from the previously confirmed time, I asked the guide for a detailed explanation, and they assured me that at Kilimanjaro Airport, two hours before departure is sufficient for check-in. I accepted this explanation, and we ultimately arrived at the airport at 15:00. In reality, check-in and security procedures were completed by 15:40 without any issues.
If I were to suggest an improvement, it would be to incorporate this information into the itinerary during the planning stage, which could reduce the need for schedule confirmations on-site. Overall, it was a fulfilling trip, and I am very satisfied. Thank you very much.
